Mussa Dankwah, Global InfoAnalytics sues Nana Ama Agyarkoma for GHC10m over alleged defamatory post

According to a report by Online Times, pollster Mussa K. Dankwah and research firm Global InfoAnalytics Ltd have filed a suit at the High Court (General Jurisdiction) against media practitioner Nana Ama Agyarkoma over alleged defamatory statements published on social media.

The plaintiffs are seeking GH¢10 million in damages, alongside a public retraction, apology, and a perpetual injunction to restrain further publication of what they describe as defamatory content.

According to a writ sighted by Online Times, Nana Ama Agyarkoma allegedly suggested in Facebook posts on March 29 and 30, 2026, that the pollster demanded money to manipulate survey results, according to the plaintiffs.

“So bcos he has decided not to pay him two million dollars, his name will never appear in that so – called stupid survey,” she wrote

The plaintiffs argue that the publication, and its subsequent republication by an online news portal, Ghana Today Online, damaged their personal and professional reputations and portrayed them as dishonest and corrupt in the conduct of polling and research work.

The firm, according to the statement of claim, says its credibility among institutions, investors, and the general public has been undermined by the allegations.

The plaintiffs further contend that the words, whether direct or implied, were understood by the public to refer to them and amounted to defamation by innuendo.

They are also seeking general, aggravated and exemplary damages, a retraction and apology to be published with equal prominence, and a court order restraining the defendant from making further allegedly defamatory statements.

The writ, filed through Addison–Young Legal PRUC, states that the plaintiffs believe the publication was malicious and intended to lower their reputation in the eyes of right-thinking members of society.

The case is expected to be heard at the Accra High Court, where the defendant will be required to enter appearance within eight days of service.
