I Am Even Sick, You Can See My Mouth I Want to Go Back Home – Ghanaian Man in South Africa

A Ghanaian man living in South Africa has made an emotional appeal for assistance to return to Ghana, citing serious health challenges and difficult living conditions.

The man, who identified himself as Kwame Osei from Kumasi, said he is currently struggling with illness and urgently wants to reunite with his family back home.

In a video that has attracted attention on social media, Kwame Osei appeared visibly distressed as he pleaded for support from Ghanaians, authorities, and well-wishers who may be able to help facilitate his return to Ghana.

“I am even sick, you can see my mouth. I want to go back home,” he said, highlighting the physical difficulties he has been facing while living in South Africa.

Although he did not provide detailed information about the nature of his illness, his emotional appeal suggested that his condition has significantly affected his well-being and ability to support himself.

He indicated that returning to Ghana has become his top priority as he seeks medical attention and the comfort of being close to his loved ones.

The video has sparked concern among many viewers, with some expressing sympathy for his situation and calling on relevant authorities to intervene.

Others have urged Ghanaian community groups in South Africa to reach out and assess his condition to determine what kind of assistance may be needed.

The plight of Ghanaians living abroad who encounter financial, health, or immigration-related difficulties is not uncommon.

In recent years, several Ghanaian nationals stranded in foreign countries have appealed for assistance to return home after facing unexpected hardships.

Organizations, community associations, and diplomatic missions often play important roles in helping citizens who find themselves in vulnerable situations outside their home countries.

In some cases, support has come in the form of emergency travel arrangements, temporary accommodation, medical assistance, or fundraising efforts by members of the public.

For Kwame Osei, his appeal reflects a desire to leave behind his current struggles and return to familiar surroundings where he believes he can receive the care and support he needs.

As his video continues to circulate online, many are hoping that his call for help will reach the appropriate authorities and individuals capable of assisting him in making a safe journey back to Ghana.
