Iran announces testing of new weapons against its aircraft carrier

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, known as the IRGC, has officially announced the successful conduct of a major and secret test of a new and sophisticated weapon that directly and with great precision targeted a US aircraft carrier in the waters of the Persian Gulf.

According to an official statement issued by the Revolutionary Guards' public relations department, Iran said that what was seen in the long-range weapon test is just the beginning of its great military capabilities, claiming that it still has many other secret and terrifying weapons that have not been used so far in combat and that more information about these secret weapons may be released in the future for the world to see.

The IRGC statement said that the new missile is a new generation of air-to-sea missiles capable of penetrating all US Aegis and THAAD defense systems and hitting an aircraft carrier without fail, and that the test was carried out with great success in the presence of senior military commanders.

The IRGC has said that the new weapon has been named Khaibar and has a hypersonic speed of 8 times the speed of sound and cannot be intercepted by any American radars, which is why even the Americans were shocked after seeing the video of the test.

The military statement came during a period of heightened military tensions between Iran and the United States, where the United States has deployed two large aircraft carriers, the USS Nimitz and the USS Carl Vinson, near Iran and summoned Iran, while the military capabilities of the two sides continue to be part of a major global debate.

Military analysts say Iran's announcement of a weapon capable of targeting a US aircraft carrier is a strong message to the Pentagon that its ships are no longer safe in the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean, and that any war with Iran would cost thousands of US troops.

This is the first time Iran has publicly announced that it has conducted a test directly targeting US military assets, which shows that Tehran is no longer willing to hide and wants to show that it is ready for direct war with the US if forced.
